Rosewater Toner – Perfect For All Skin Types

Rosewater Toner - Perfect For All Skin TypesFacial toners are very important for maintaining the health of the skin. The only problem is commercial skin toning products are often quite expensive. Fortunately, there are homemade facial toners you can try. Aside from being more affordable, they are also very effective in improving your complexion. While some experts believe toners are only mandatory for people with oily skin, others still think that skin toning should be a regular part of your beauty routine.

Some of the many benefits of using facial toners include tightening the pores in your skin, removing some soap residue, and giving you skin that looks fresh all the time. And you can achieve all of these without spending too much on conventional toners. Homemade toners are easy to produce, but before you try any recipe, keep in mind that not all toners work for all types of skin.

If you have dry skin type, you should avoid using ingredients that have high acid contents like lemon because that might lead to irritation and even skin damage. The same way goes if you have sensitive skin. Stay away from alcohol, apple cider vinegar, and other similar ingredients if you don’t want to damage your skin. Perhaps the best facial toner ingredient that’s suitable for all types of skin is rosewater.

Rosewater has natural cleansing properties and carries with it a pleasant aroma. People have been using rosewater to treat different kinds of skin problems, and because of its many skin benefits, it is often found as an ingredient in some skincare products sold in the market today. It has antiseptic and antibacterial properties. And most of all, it doesn’t produce any kind of irritation in the skin.

To create your own rosewater facial toner, you will need two cups of freshly picked rose petals, two cups water, ½ cup hazel, and a few drops glycerin. Place the petals in a small pan and add water. Let the mixture simmer for a few minutes on low heat. When the mixture has cooled down, place it in a container, and add the hazel and glycerin. If you have dry skin, you might want to add more glycerin. Adding more hazel, on the other hand, is perfect if you have oily skin type.

Rosewater facial toner can leave your skin smooth, fresh, and radiant. Just apply it on your face and neck like you would a regular toner. After leaving it on your skin for a few seconds, gently wipe it off. Experts agree that due to its antibacterial properties, rosewater is also efficient in preventing many skin problems such as acne and wrinkles. You can even use it to cure sunburn. If you’re not sure about using rosewater, consult with your doctor and learn more about rosewater and its uses for the skin.

How Do I Remove Skin Tags?

How Do I Remove Skin TagsMany who have skin tags are curious how to remove them naturally. Skin tags are common dermatological complaints. They are best described as bits of skin-colored or flesh-colored tissue projecting from the surrounding skin from a small, narrow stalk. These benign growths are also referred to as skin tabs or even barnacles. Medically speaking, they’re known by several different names as well. Your dermatologist refers to them as acrochordons, Pappilomas, soft fibromas or even pedunculated filiform. This last term indicates that the growth is really on a stalk and is threadlike.

Actually quite harmless in nature, these tags seem to accumulate more on some individuals than others. Women are just as likely to get these as men and some people may have as many as 50 to 100 tags on their body. What causes this growth isn’t really clear. It appears that it may have something to do with the friction created by the act of rubbing parts of the body together or tight clothes rubbing certain areas of the body. That’s why sometimes gaining weight may cause the growth of tags. In some individuals, even a moderate increase in weight can trigger a dramatic increase in these growths. Then again, some individuals have an abundance of these solely due to genetics.

Your dermatologist can suggest some conventional treatments for the removal of these skin tags. However, natural home remedies will work just as well to rid your skin of these pesky afflictions. Apple cider vinegar comes in handy in removing skin tags. All you need to do is rub the vinegar onto the tag using a cotton ball three times a day. There’s no need to cover the tag or give it any type of special treatment. Your skin tag should fall off naturally in ten to fifteen days.

Another way to get rid of skin tags is something that your doctor has at his disposal as well. It is known as “choking” the tag. You simply need to take some thread and tie it around the base of the tag tightly — really tightly. The goal here is to eliminate the blood supply from the stalk to the flap itself. Once the tag isn’t receiving the nutrient supply it needs, it will then die and drop off on its own. There is virtually no risk with this method.

You might also want to try suffocating your skin tag in order to easily remove it. Try covering the tag with fingernail polish, then the growth won’t be able to breath. If a substance can’t breath, it would have a hard time living. Do this two to three times a day until the flap falls off. It usually takes several days in order to do so. They are several other home remedies that will work including mixing baking soda with castor oil into a paste. You can also use hash browns, aspirin, crushed garlic, vitamin E and or even onions in order to remove your skin tags.

Sensitive Skin Care For Your Sensitive Skin

Sensitive Skin Care For Your Sensitive SkinHaving sensitive skin is not fun at all, the constant worry about what you can put on your face so you do not breakout, or the worry of allergic reactions occurring like hives that can scare you to death, is more than you wish to deal with. Today I will go over some things that can help you with care of your sensitive skin.

Skin Care: Cleansing Routine For Your Skin

Still using soap to wash your face? Well its time to switch to a soap free cleanser. The days of lathering up with soap are over, all they do is dry out your skin, but there are many soap free cleansers out there like the products I choose to use that avoid drying out my sensitive skin.

Here are some more helpful tips to help relieve your skin cleansing problems:

  • Stay away from deodorant and antibacterial soaps
  • Products that contain acid are no good for your skin
  • Be gentle when you scrub your face

Skin Care Products: The Use Of Moisturizers

Moisturizers can be one of the best ways to moisturize your skin and keep it from becoming irritated. When choosing a moisturizer stay away from those with added fragrances. Find a company like I have who’s products are fragrance free. This way you are more likely to find sensitive products that are gentler for your skin conditions.

Anti Aging Products For Your Skin

There’s been a lot of hype about these retinoids for your skin you can get through prescription that work in preventing wrinkles. But sensitive skin does not tolerate retinoids all that well, however, there are other options that work just as well if not better. One of them is an ingredient called Xtend TK, a new cutting edge substance from New Zealand that effectively promotes the regrowth of collagen and elastin and is much gentler on your skin.

Skin Rejuvenation

Skin rejuvenation is another trend that many women are turning to, the hydroxy acids in most of these exfoliating creams can also be harsh on your skin. What I have found and use is sensitive skin products that contain effective ingredients like Avocado Oil, Macadamia Oils as well as Active Manuka Honey from New Zealand which help to provide additional moisture, also aiding in skin regeneration for softer firmer skin.

How To Get Rid Of Dark Circles Once And For All And Look Years Younger

How To Get Rid Of Dark Circles Once And For All And Look Years YoungerDark circles under your eyes can make you look tired, older and make you feel unattractive. However, the good news is that there are a number of ways you can get rid of these circles and look younger, healthier and happier. Follow these tips and you’ll see an improvement faster than you think.

Scientists aren’t sure why, but not getting enough sleep can contribute to dark circles under your eyes. Once you’re sure that you’re getting enough sleep and yet those circles still aren’t gone, it’s time to purchase an eye cream. The best creams for under eye circles contain both Retinol and Vitamin K. Vitamin K has been show to reduce these unsightly dark circles, while Retinol helps reduce puffiness and discoloration. Together these two ingredients can have a dramatic impact. Creams of these type should be used daily and are safe to use long term.

Some of the best remedies are ones that can be done overnight. You will apply a mask before bed and wash it off in the morning. While your body is getting its rest, the mask will be working hard to add moisture to your skin, add needed nutrients and to reduce the causes and effects of under eye circles. Find an overnight mask that is made for your skin type. If you have sensitive skin, it’s best to try these masks for only an hour or so at first. This will allow you to see if it will lead to breakouts, itchy skin or other common issues that sensitive skin have.

While you’re waiting for these solutions to begin to work, you can also cover those dark circles with under eye cream and concealer. Choose a concealer that matches your skin tone and cover it with a light dusting of a translucent powder.
