Warts on Fingers and Toes

There are specific reasons why people get warts on fingers and toes. These areas are easily scratched and injured compared to other areas of the body which makes them more promote to having the wart virus drill its way into the skin. Nevertheless, there are certain things that you can do to prevent the spread of these warts and to try to kill them off in the first place.

Keeping your extremities such as your toes and your hands clean:

Since you have to use your hands and feet constantly, any time that they come in contact with the wart virus, there is a chance that a wart will start to grow, especially if you are younger or your immune system has been compromised for some reason.

Just simply use soapy water to keep these surfaces clear of bacteria and viruses. I’m not saying that you have to wash your hands every 10 minutes, but if you’re in an environment where a lot of people are walking around barefoot or you are in a situation where you have to touch a surface that has been touched by the general public, it is best to wash thoroughly after leaving these environments. For instance, the hand rails on subway trains usually are covered with germs and viruses.

Deal with tiny warts as soon as they appear on your fingers and on your feet:

It is best to try to get rid of your warts when they are smaller in size. Less work will be involved if you’re dealing with your warts when they are smaller in size versus trying to kill larger warts that are full of the virus.

There are some simple techniques that you can use, especially when they are tiny.

Try adding a piece of duct tape on the smaller warts before they have grown into larger warts:

Simply attach a piece of tape on the problematic warts that are on your fingers or your toes. You will need to leave the tape there for at least a few days. After that tape has fallen off, there’s a good chance that the top surface of the wart will fall off along with it. Now just try to scrub off the top layer of your wart and then reapply another piece of tape. You might have to perform this procedure a few times before you totally get rid of the wart.
